Q-WIXX®, Creditex's new electronic platform for trading credit derivative portfolios, is expected to launch this quarter. It is designed to streamline the trading process and has support from the buyside. The story quotes Tim Frost of Cairnn Capital saying that the first trade went very smoothly. He explained that, in the trade, investors participated in transferring a billion dollars in a real live auction.

He said Q-WIXX® is entering the market at an opportune time. An unnamed hedge fund executive said Q-WIXX® is by far the most competitive offering in the market.
